Maremma Sheepdogs

Penny is an excellent guardian and has a special bond with our children. She loves to socialize with introduced visitors to our farm and looks after any animal we ask her to protect. She is gentle and good natured, and has protected our stock from both four-legged and aerial predators.

Mayuk came to us all the way from Arizona. He has  matured into a handsome and dependable livestock guardian. He has proven to be a confident, mild mannered dog and is doing extremely well with our stock of all ages and types. He is sweet and goofy, but also takes his job very seriously.

Rosso was the puppy we kept from our 2022 litter. He has exceeded every expectation we have had for him and is a level-headed, trustworthy livestock guardian dog. He has proven himself to be reliable with poultry and young stock and has a soft spot for our Boer bucks. 

We do our best to ensure the development of resilient, adaptable dogs by incorporating many principles of puppy culture, early neurological stimulation, daily handling, and early exposure to livestock and poultry.

Our pups will be placed in working homes and we select the home we feel will be the best match for each puppy after getting to know them and their personalities over the first 3+ months of their lives. We want each pup to fit perfectly into their new home and are selective about where they go. We also offer ongoing support to their new owners.

We welcomed a litter of seven purebred Maremma puppies at the end of January, 2024. We have carefully selected our breeding dogs for their working ability and do our best to ensure our pups’ future success as confident, capable livestock guardian dogs. Our puppies excel in their working homes.
